  1. Hello Sam,
I am a frequent Heart meditator. I begin by watching the breath, and especially the space between breaths. This helps me settle the mind, so that I can effectively “sink” the mind into the heart – really focus my awareness into the Heart Center. This helps me experience long periods of Spanda. What is your opinion of this?

    • Hello Victor
Many thanks for your comment and question. Yes, watching the breath, including the space between breaths is a technique used by many spiritual paths and self-development approaches, including Tantra, Buddhism and mindfulness. I hold a non-dual view of the human condition, which suggests that we are – innately – divine beings, whose full consciousness is clouded/veiled by certain illusions or hidden truths. Through meditation techniques, like the one you mention, we can align ourselves with our divine consciousness/vibration (or at least some aspect of it), an energetic dimension that we share with all sentient and non-sentient manifestations. There is plenty more to say on this subject, naturally..
      Joyful greetings, Sam ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Many thanks, Victor, for letting me know about your Heart, Breath and Mind: Divine Consciousness group. Unfortunately, Iโ€™m not on Facebook. I wish you the very best with the group discussions and inner work. Joyful greetings, Sam ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Many thanks Victor. I’ve tried a number of times to access your group page, by clicking on the link you gave me, however, I just get the “Sign into Facebook” page. I can view the FB sites of my friends, without having an account myself, so I’m not sure why this is the case with the link to your group. Warm wishes, Sam ๐Ÿ™‚
